Land Rover DC100 Sport Concept (2017)

CAR GARAGE | Land Rover DC100 Sport Concept (2017) | External forces are at hand. It does not meet U.S. safety requirements or stricter Euro Union CO2 standards, it'll hurt LR's American Corporate Average Fuel Economy ratings, and SUV buyers continue to move away from hard-core off-roaders toward crossovers.

The DC100 is the more traditional of Land Rover's two concepts. We briefly drove the other, the DC100 Sport-oriented lifestyle.  Land Rover Hopes to retain the Defender's off-road capability by using modern technology. LR engineers are considering a new generation of Auto Terrain Response That Could anticipate changes in the landscape; Sensors That Could help when traversing water; on-demand spiked tires; a driveline disconnect; and torque vectoring for both on-and off-road.

As with the original, Land Rover plans to proliferate the new Defender with multiple models for a wide variety of would-be buyers. That's how the company Hopes to bring new buyers into the models without offending die-hard fans Defender.

Land Rover DC100 Sport Concept (2012)

CAR GARAGE | Land Rover DC100 Sport Concept (2012) |  The DC100 concept also explores new territory in sustainability. An Intelligent Twin-Solenoid Stop / Start system is mated to an eight-speed automatic transmission to ease future hybridization.  An expedition-ready version of the Land Rover concept vehicle DC100 is Helping to shape the future of the iconic Defender line.

Short overhangs for extreme approach and departure angles, an upright windscreen, vertical panels, and a strong shoulder line complete design predicated on capability. Wade Aid utilizes sonar sensors in bumpers and side mirrors to measure water depth while fording streams.  While the ultimate destination for Defender is still unknown, the concept DC100 charges ahead, reinvigorating the line That lives in every Land Rover vehicle.

The Land Rover concept Appears to retain some of the hallmarks of the beloved Defender 90 (ie boxy profile, Stubby wheelbase, exposed spare tire) while simultaneously Incorporating cues (ie fender vents, flared wheel wheels, large wheels, etc.) That are increasingly ingrained into modern Land Rover design DNA. "Replacing the iconic Defender is one of the biggest challenges in the automotive design world," Gerry McGovern, Land Rover's director of design, said in a prepared release.

Land Rover Range Rover Evoque Victoria Beckham (2012)

CAR GARAGE | Land Rover Range Rover Evoque Victoria Beckham (2012) | Personalisation has formed a key part of the Range Rover Evoque's appeal. Each of the standard three trim levels - Pure, Prestige and Dynamic - can be further Individualism with a huge range of options from alloy wheel designs and contrasting roof colors to 16 'Designer Choice' interiors. Now, Land Rover has extended the principle by offering an exclusively designed Range Rover Evoque Special Edition created as a result of a collaboration Between Land Rover Design, led by Gerry McGovern with Victoria Beckham, winner of the coveted Designer Brand of the Year award at the 2011 British Fashion Awards. Gerry McGovern, Director of Design, Land Rover explains: "The design of Evoque has truly captured the hearts of customers worldwide. Working with Victoria the intention was not to change the fundamental architecture and award winning design of the Range Rover Evoque. I've always driven a Range Rover, for me They are the epitome of quality and luxury. My brand is known for quality and workmanship and so is Land Rover.

Essential to the design, was the development of a hand-finished matt paint That Gives the car a, stealth-like appearance and maintains the solidity of the original design. The color also serves to highlight the inherent drama of the Evoque's design. Gloss black is further used for the bonnet and side vents, Range Rover lettering, lower bodywork finishers, exhaust finishers and fog lamp surrounds. Offering a counterpoint to the paint finish the rose gold is applied as 'ingots' to the unique 20 "gloss black forged alloy wheels and as a surround for the grille, the which features a new horizontal bar design reserved solely for this special edition.

The Range Rover Evoque Special Edition has all the performance, ability and security expected of any Land Rover. The Evoque also features Land Rover's hallmark full-time, four-wheel drive and award-winning Terrain Response system. Nimble responses are heightened still further by the Dynamic Terrain Response option on the which ties together these systems to deliver sharper handling and tighter body control for an even more rewarding driving experience. To add a real sense of occasion, automatic color changes are activated when the driver Chooses the Dynamic option, changing the ambient lighting and dials to red.

The Special Edition will be built at Hale-wood manufacturing facility in Liverpool and hand-finished by Land Rover's engineering division to Order (ETO), Essential to the design is the high quality hand-finished matt gray paint, with contrasting gloss black finishes on the roof, side, bonnet vents, wheel arches and wheels, giving the overall vehicle a stealth-like quality. Further underlining the Bespoke luxury theme of this vehicle is the use of rose-gold Accents on the unique 20 "gloss black forged alloy wheels, badging and grille surround limited solely to this Special Edition. Complimenting the ultra-modern, stealth-like exterior is an elegant and luxurious interior. The four sport design seats are finished in a semi-aniline leather Vintage Tan - with a bold, hand-finished 'baseball' stitch detail, chosen by Victoria as a tongue-in-cheek reference to her sporting husband David. A hand stitched leather wallet, with rose-gold containing a detailed guide to the exclusive features of the car is co-branded Range Rover Evoque and signed by Victoria Beckham. I looked at yachts, luxury jets, classic cars, movies, personalities and fashion.

Land Rover Director of Design, Gerry McGovern said: "Working with Victoria in our design studio at Gaydon Certainly created a buzz within the team. For example at the first meeting, Victoria herself inspired the use of rose gold. She was wearing dark clothes and no jewelery apart from a rose gold, man's watch. We fully enjoyed working with Victoria and I am confident this special edition will appeal to discerning luxury consumers globally. " The Range Rover Evoque with Victoria Beckham Special Edition is limited to a maximum of 200 vehicles to be sold worldwide. The vehicle is a four-seat coupé, powered by the lightweight, all-aluminum 2.0-liter 240PS petrol engine and features four-wheel drive with Land Rover's award-winning Terrain Response system.

Range Rover Evoque Victoria Beckham

Victoria Beckham’s limited edition Range Rover Evoque is finally revealed! As I mentioned yesterday, I was expecting to see something a bit catastrophic and hopefully I was wrong. Beckham’s edition looks really nice and there is no design bit that ruins the harmony. On the contrary, Beckham edition looks a bit muscular than feminine. Exterior matte finish black with black forged 20-inch wheels turns this limited edition into a really muscular car. I was expecting to see some flashy colours of this fashion season but Beckham did not wish to spoil the Evoque with contemporary fashion.

Interior looks way much better! The hand stitched vintage inspired leather seats are completed with rose gold-plated accents. And here we can see that, Victoria Beckham places her signature! There is one thing I never liked in a car, gold. Unfortunately, this very valuable material may not improve the harmony of a luxury vehicle, instead it sometimes ruin the harmony. However, Evoque Beckham is not covered with gold inside, and I did not see it with my own eyes. So, I don’t want to be so brutal while criticising but, I still consider it as a minus for this vehicle.

It did not finish yet, when you buy this limited to 200 Evoque, you will have also get a four pieces of Victoria Beckham leather luggage and a hand-sewn leather wallet for owner’s manual with her signature (I hope she signed them by herself, not a printed signature). When you consider the price Victoria Beckham’s fashion line, these four pieces of leather luggage is a bargain. If you would like to buy them from Net-A-Porter, you would definitely pay more money than an Evoque.

Unfortunately, Beckham’s limited edition is only available with coupe version. And that’s a pain when you wish to get onto rear seat. Because, it is impossible especially if someone is as tall as Victoria Beckham with skyscraper heels tries to get onto back seats, the result will be a fail!

In general, this car is way much better than I expected from Victoria Beckham. Unfortunately, they did not stop inspiring the Evoque from the fashion and they priced as £79,995 not £80,000. Sorry but it is very very expensive. You can buy a proper Range Rover or a Porsche 911 or Mercedes SL for this price. I know this is a limited edition and it has to be priced like this but this is too expensive, I am sorry!

Range Rover Evoque Victoria Beckham Edition

Victoria Beckham and Range Rover = Evoque! Unfortunately this happened. Land Rover preferred Ms.Beckham as the brand ambassador of the Evoque. I was expecting to see her all the time on TV or media with an Evoque but, this did not happen. Actually, Evoque and Beckham relationship seemed to end up before starting. Or we thought it like that!

Since the first time, I saw the Ms.Beckham with the Evoque, I was expecting to see a limited edition Evoque with animal print interior with lots of tattoos around the vehicle. In addition, specially designed storage for her heels and handbags, in case she needs to change them!

In order to see how the Beckham Edition looks like, we have to wait until it is revealed at Beijing Motor Show tomorrow in China.
