Ferrari F12berlinetta

Now, you have opportunity to configure your Ferrari F12berlinetta. You have opportunity to select various different colours, including the historical Ferrari colours from the past. Actually, I like them more than the contemporary ones! You can choose different wheels and different colours for brake callipers. Unfortunately, there are not many options available for interior.

And there are not list of options feature on this new Ferrari! I am pretty sure that, many things are on option list with a reasonable price tag :)

I did not make any typo, F12 Berlinetta is officially written as F12berlinetta.

Ferrari 620 GT - > Ferrari F12 Berlinetta

Sometimes leaked information inside the car companies may not be true! Similar to iPhone 5 situation, many people including me thought that new Ferrari would be 620 GT! But it didn't happen like that, Ferrari released the information today and as you can see, it is F 12 Berlinetta.

Despite this branding confusion, this car is the fastest Ferrari ever built according to Ferrari. Actually, their all new cars are the fastest ;) This car is faster than any other Ferrari on planet at Fiorano circuit by 1 minute 23 seconds.

Actually, V12 Ferraris are always my favourite and I was expecting to see the new car that will replace the legendary 599. And here it is, much faster than anything, looking amazing, has lots of Formula 1 technology. Also, it is only 1,5-tonne! Really light. And Ferrari placed a screen in front of the passenger side, it shows the speed and the engine rev! It would definitely reduce the curiosity of the passenger :)

BMW 640d xDrive

BMW just released the information about the all-wheel drive 640d xDrive. During last decade, Mercedes and BMW increased the portion of all-wheel drive models all over their vehicle range. Like in Mercedes, you may have the xDrive system on any model except 1 Series! I am not complaining about this, however 6 Series always have a special place for me with its rear wheel drive; it is more fun!

I know that all-wheel drive lets you to cope with adverse road conditions and you can drive your coupe freely at any weather condition. Also, the system allows you to have fun but I would still go for rear wheel drive for 6 Series.  Still, it is good to have xDrive on 6 Series!

Engine is a TwinPower Turbo diesel 3-lt produces 313PS with 630nm of torque and accelerate to 100 kph (62 mph) in just 5,2 seconds.

New Mercedes SL Catalogue Shooting

Today I want to share with you the backstage of new Mercedes SL’s catalogue shootings. In previous years, car manufacturers never released the back stage of catalogue shootings, however nowadays cars turn into a fashion item more than a transportation instruments or symbol of status. The engagement of fashion definitely increases the awareness and also attracts new customers who were not interested before.

Fashion engagement is to alter the image of the brand and the car. During the years, Mercedes sponsored Fashion Shows and introduced their cars like a fashion item. This would definitely improve the brand image and diminish the adverse notions previous associated with the car. When a car is associated with fashion people perceive it in a different way, in addition this changes the target audiences as well. Some of the previous customers may find to less muscular for them! Sometimes this change is necessary to improve the brand image!

And interestingly, Mercedes did not place a fully loaded SL! There is not a distronic plus radar in front of the SL. How I know it? If there is a distronic plus radar present in the SL, the Mercedes logo will not have the holes, instead it will be a glossy plastic.

Model is Lara Stone and collection is from Calvin Klein.

New Ferrari 620 GT with new video!

The replacement of 599 is finally revealed. Since for very long time, I always admire the V12 powered Ferraris. There are rare, more exclusive, more powerful and sounds better. Many people may not have the chance spot a V12 Ferrari, because they are really really expensive. As many people just buy Ferrari to show their financial success, a V8 powered is enough for them.

Anyway, here is the new 620 GT! 720PS from 6,3-lt V12 petrol engine, 0 to 100 kph (62 mph) in 3,0 seconds and more than 340 kph (212 mph) top speed. Wait for 29th February for more information.

Here are the three footages from Ferrari!

Peugeot 208 Campagne De

Personally, I have never been a fan of Peugeot ever. They do have great design team but; their production quality, reliability or drive feeling never excited me. Despite adverse notions I associate with Peugeot, their advertisement campaigns are always very creative, fun and remarkable. In addition, they improved their production quality but still it is not a driver's car.

As I said, their campaigns are very creative and recently they introduced an interactive and very very funny campaign on YouTube. I really like it, the scenario is very unique and not pushing the car too much. It is really worth to watch!

By the way, that touch screen on picture is probably optional ;)

Cabrio Range Rover Evoque :/

Land Rover released the official photos of a cabrio version of Range Rover Evoque. They say that, it would be in production on 2014 or 2015 and no other information released regarding to this vehicle!

Unfortunately, I didn’t like the style of the vehicle. It only reminds me an up lifted version of Audi A3 cabrio. Cabrio and SUV do not match with each other that much. Therefore, there are only few cabrio SUV on market; Mercedes G-Class and Land Rover Defender!

Threatening Dangers Inside Automobiles

While today’s automobile manufacturers are concerned with producing electric hybrid cars, a number of consumer advocates continue to warn these manufacturers that energy efficiency is only one issue among many when it comes to environmental safety.

Although consumers are aware of the dangers of toxins in emissions, many aren’t aware that automobiles can produce toxic health hazards in other ways as well. Of primary concern is the number of harmful substances still being used in the manufacture of automobile parts. While some of these parts are located in the engine of the car, others are found in car interiors as well. These engine parts and interior accessories expose drivers, passengers and car mechanics to certain substances that, at a high level, are toxic enough to produce adverse health reactions.

Here are a number of potentially threatening substances used by the automobile industry:

• Asbestos: Mostly in older vehicles, car makers have long been using asbestos to line brakes, clutch assemblies and brake pads, as well as to reinforce gaskets and other parts. Car mechanics and car owners potentially expose themselves to asbestos every time they raise the hood of a car, because each time the asbestos is moved or jarred, the fibers break away and pollute the air. Asbestos exposure is a proven cause of mesothelioma cancer, an often-fatal disease that attacks the lungs. While mesothelioma has been in the news lately because of the proven links to asbestos, many people still don’t realize that asbestos may be found right under the hood of the family car.

• Carbon monoxide and other pollutants: Most people are aware that carbon monoxide is released in the air through the emissions caused by automotive exhaust. While this is a known health hazard, many people don’t realize that there are other pollutants, such as nitrogen dioxide, that are also released into the air as well. Medical research and environmental experts have proven that exposure to these substances can cause a threat to respiratory health, and there are a number of lung and even heart problems that can result from too much exposure to these substances.

• Formaldehyde: Formaldehyde is just one of the chemicals that can be propelled into the air from the engine of a new car via the air conditioning system. Because of this, experts say that it’s better to turn off the air conditioner in a new car for a couple of months and air out the car completely by rolling the windows down.

• Lead: Traces of lead, bromine and chlorine are often found in the plastic used for interior car accessories such as children’s safety seats and door handles. The substances bromine, chlorine and copper are also found in these plastic parts. At high levels, these substances can pollute the atmosphere and cause gastrointestinal and respiratory health conditions.

As consumer advocates continue to petition the automotive industry to enforce safer industry standards, it’s important to educate ourselves as to the potential health hazards that may exist inside every automobile.

Poor Mercedes 500 SL

I recently saw this poor 1988 model Mercedes 500 SL. I am saying poor because, this iconic car’s left window is covered with nylon bag and duct tape. As you can imagine, the owner is quite poor as well. How I know this! If you someone buys a 24 years old 5-lt V8 petrol powered SL and covers the missing driver window with nylon bag; I can assume one thing. Owner of this car loves Mercedes SL but, it is out of the budge. So, the best solution is to buy an old one.

Sounds like a good idea but does not work with when you have a problem. Even though, the car is 24 years old, Mercedes service is very fresh to charge you bills with lots of zeros. So, if you are planning to buy a car cheaper than an iPhone, just consider the service as well.

Whenever I see this car, I always remember the first time I saw this on the cover of Auto-Motor-und-Sport 1989 annual issue! It was on the cover. Time is passing so quickly.
