Today I would like to share the dark part of the BMW, BMW Group DesignworksUSA. Unlike Porsche Design, DesignworksUSA is not that popular, it did not become a part of the popular culture. Many people became aware of DesignworksUSA, when the Chris Bangle was moved to this company after stopped designing cars.

Unfortunately, DesignworksUSA is not like Porsche Design, they don’t have a wide range of products. They are more concentrated on industrial design, and collaborated many different brands such as; Intel, Adidas, HP, Nokia, Deutsche Bahn.

There are two design from BMW DesignworksUSA! A 12-foot pedestrian light and Lo-Glo, a 3-foot pathway light, feature LED cartridge and a Thermaltake computer mouse.

Creator of Porsche 911 Ferdinand Alexander Porsche Lost His Life

Unfortunately I don’t have a very good news today. Creator of Porsche 911, Honorary President of the Supervisory Board of Porsche Ferdinand Alexander Porsche died on 5 April 2012 at the age of 76. He created the most iconic car of the automotive era, and established a design culture for the Porsche. From Boxster to Porsche Design pens, you can see the inspiring details from the 911. What he has contributed to automotive industry cannot be forgotten and will be remembered in automotive history.

He is not with us anymore but, his spirit will be alive with the each Porsche.

Softest Porsche Ever!

A new product from Porsche Design, bathrobe for men. Unfortunately, only for men at the moment. I have no idea what Porsche Design team was thinking while making this product. It is a bathrobe with Porsche Design logo on it and I don’t think that, it shares any innovative technology with Porsche at all.

Actually, the most interesting point is the customers. If Porsche Design produces this product, there are some potential people, who are looking forward to wear this bathrobe for quite long time!

Versace for H&M

On Thursday, H&M is going to reveal the Versace for H&M collection. Many people were waiting for this for quite long time. They were waiting to own a Versace cloth without bearing the weight of Versace price tag! And H & M is the master of this, they collaborated with many brands and made many people happy :)

As I mention last years, I am waiting for Porsche Design for H&M collection :) Porsche Design is quite expensive like Versace, also offers very stylish cloths. So why do we wait? Actually, I know the answer, Porsche Design is produced by Adidas. And this makes it quite impossible for a collaboration with H&M.

However, who knows the future! Versace said we would not collaborate with H&M but they did ;) I still have some hope.

Porsche Design Useful Things

Porsche Design always surprises me with their impressive product extension. This time they started a new line called Useful Things! If you are worried about, there is a big gap in your life without Porsche Design while doing some particular things, you have the chance to fill it now.

Recently I saw some of the Useful Things at Porsche Design London store. Unfortunately, I saw some of them; Soup Set, Tea Set and Chopsticks. I am sure that, many people are feeling the emptiness of Porsche Design while drinking a soup, eating a sushi and preparing a tea. These useful things will make your life wonderful while lighting your wallet :)

Porsche Design Hard Drive

After buying your kitchen, pen, shoes, t-shirt, coat, perfume, knife, coffee machine, toaster and missing a Porsche Design external hard drive. Here it is!

I found the coolest and best-looking external hard drive ever made. It is from Porsche Design. Sounds a bit unusual but Porsche Design also offer external hard drives.

This external hard drive offers 500 GB disk space and that's all for technical information. It is designed by Porsche Design and it looks amazing! I really don't care about its USB connectivity or transfer rate or anything else. It is a must have product from Porsche Design. Because, it is one of their best design. Even if you don't need any external hard drive, the design would definitely provokes you to buy one!

Honestly, I don't think that it will be a different experience for an external hard drive but if you will buy one, just consider the Porsche ;)

By the way, it is manufactured by Lacie. I really don't know anything about this firm but as they are sold in respectful technology stores, you may trust them.

This one is 2,5 inch but you can have bigger space and bigger size!

Porsche Design Underwear !!!

I was wondering how Porsche Design can challenge the boundaries of product line extension. From mega yachts to whole kitchen design are the boundaries of Porsche Design. However they did not feel comfortable with all these and they decide to introduce something more elegant. Underwear!

I have just spotted Porsche Design underwear in online store of Adidas. I can understand everything from pencil to kitchen furniture but underwear! Who wants to wear a Porsche as underwear! I really wonder why they trying to push the artificial creativity for their clothing section. Current collection is adequate to generate money, many people buy Porsche Design clothes but underwear. This is the most pointless invention from the Porsche. And interestingly they did not offer their best colour, the grey! With price of €36, £32, $50

If they are still struggling to find a new idea, I have one. Porsche Design coffee beans, with this product consumer can experience the feeling of 911 while drinking a cup of coffee. Actually, there is one possibility. They can offer four different coffees. First one will be the cheap one and does not offer something really special expect being light taste, Boxster. Second one will be a bit more expensive than the first one and offers a bit stronger taste. Third one will have twenty different variations under it and it will reflect 911. It will be more expensive, stronger, distinctive taste and smell and twenty different types. Fourth one will have less caffeine, more relaxing, beans will be light brown coloured and also size of the beans should be huge. Last one will be exotic one from a mysterious part of the world, when you drink this coffee you will smell and taste something really different does not have relationship with the rest of the range. And it will be called Cayenne!

Have fun with Porsche Design

Recently Volkswagen Financial Services AG started to follow my blog. Thanks to Google Analytics, I can see which companies are following me. Therefore I have to post article for my audience. And I decided to offer something interesting for VW Financial Services.

As I read from their web site, it is the best place to work in Germany. And from the pictures, I can agree on this. But financial services are not something very entertaining for everyone. I am sure that some of the stuff is dealing with credit check for customers, analysing a potential VW Passat Estate Diesel’s future owner’s last ten years credit history. I don’t think, they are having fun like in research and development department.

Now it is time to have a break. From the sibling company Porsche Design, there is a very funny iPhone application. Actually fun and Porsche Design are not very close words but they manage to combine it with this very interesting application.

In this application you choose the worst sun glasses of Porsche Design, not the best one the worst ones, and you take a picture of your face and then application is adding the desired sun glass with your face. Sound very creative but practically very funny. While looking for credit history check, you can have fun :)
